Spilled a full pot of stew in my bag last week because I didn’t have this on hand. Now the latch keeps the lid locked tight on the round Dutch oven, and I can actually toss it in my tote without holding my breath the whole ride.
Finally, my Le Creuset can come to potlucks without me holding the lid the whole drive. The silicone grip is snug enough that I don't worry about a single spill, even on the bumpy back roads.
My soup commute just got way less stressful - the latch fits snugly enough that not a drop escaped during my bumpy train ride. Takes a few tries to snap it on just right, but once it clicks, it really holds.
